Victoria Park
Also known by the Turrbal name of Barrambin, this heritage-listed park and sacred site is a site of significance including use for cultural gatherings prior to colonisation. The many beautiful trees, over 4000 recorded and mapped by Brisbane City Council(Ref 1.) in Victoria Park are of great significance for local biodiversity. Some have a diameter of 1,200mm and are over 150 years old or more and provide a home for many inner city native animals including the squirrel glider.

Ref 1. Ecological Assessment Report, Brisbane City Council
The community partnered with Brisbane City Council and created a Master Plan for Victoria Parks future, see the masterplan below. The planning process took years and significant amounts of ratepayers time and money was spent in the process.
