EUCALYPTUS CURTISII
The Eucalyptus curtisii Project will celebrate a locally occurring small Eucalyptus tree, the Eucalyptus curtisii, commonly known as either Plunkett Mallee or Brisbane mallee. Eucalyptus curtisii's flower is the floral emblem of Ipswich in Queensland and is a small often multi-trunked tree growing up to ten metres in height. It flowers profusely in Brisbane in October and is currently classified under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992 as "near threatened" due to land clearing and fragmentation.
